Serves 1

For the cocktail

  • 1 Mazawattee Green Tea tea bag
  • 2 cups of water
  • 30ml gin
  • 15ml Campari drink
  • 2 cups of cold water
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 2 tbsp strawberry syrup
  • Fresh strawberries and orange slices to garnish

For the strawberry syrup

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 250g chopped strawberries
  • 4 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon

For the strawberry syrup

In a small pan, add all ingredients for the syrup. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over a medium heat. Using a fork, break up the strawberries to help infuse the simple syrup. Allow the mixture to bubble gently for 5 minutes. Take the pan of the heat and allow the mixture to cool for 10 minutes. Strain the mixture. Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 1 month.

For the cold brewed green tea

Put the tea bag into a glass container with 2 cups of room temperature or cold water. Cold brew the tea by putting the container in the fridge for 8 hours or overnight. This way, you will create a sweeter and smoother tasting tea.

For the cocktail

Add the gin, Campari, orange juice and strawberry syrup into a cocktail shaker. Give it several shakes. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with the cold brewed green tea and give the mixture a gentle stir to combine. Garnish with fresh strawberries and an orange peel.
